The Right Choice for Michigan.
Vote Democrat Rashida Tlaib
on or before August 2nd.
Retail workers across Michigan are proud to support Congresswoman Rashida Tlaib for reelection in the new MI-12 legislative district.
Growing up in a working class family in Detroit, Rashida witnessed, first-hand, how hard it can be for working families to get ahead.
That is why she is unafraid to face big corporations and billionaires – like Jeff Bezos, Wall Street, and Marathon Oil, who have built their fortunes exploiting people and poisoning our communities – head on. Instead of just sitting on the sidelines watching laws get written in Washington that fail to protect the people of Michigan, she has jumped into action – and has spent her two terms in Congress fighting for us and bringing back big wins to working families across Detroit and the Great Lakes State.
Rashida delivers for Michigan working families:
- She secured $3 billion for home repairs and neighborhood revitalization and over $1 billion to stop water shutoffs.
- She was the first member of Congress to call to impeach Donald Trump and has worked tirelessly to protect our democracy from Trump’s attempts to overturn the election and throw out the votes of Michigan working families.
- She stood up for victims of Wall Street’s greed – like the over 700 Art Van workers and hundreds of communities across the state who were devastated when private equity took over the company and drove it into bankruptcy – as an original co-sponsor and major champion of the Stop Wall Street Looting Act. This legislation holds Wall Street firms accountable and protects workers and our communities.
- And she has brought back millions of dollars in the form of social security and disability benefits, veteran benefits, debt reduction, tax returns, securing back pay, and more.
But she hasn’t stopped at making sure Michigan’s workers have the information we need to arm ourselves against billionaires keeping us from earning our fair share. She’s joined us in directly taking the biggest offenders.
After she called out Amazon executives for their horrendous treatment of workers during the pandemic, they invited her to the local warehouse to see what was happening for herself.
They made her wait for hours, until the facility called the police on the Congresswoman. She still didn’t leave. Here’s what she saw:
